Founded by the national and award-winning Latina Leadership Podcast, the Amigas and Friends Network, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization focused on creating more access to resources and removing barriers to opportunity for all underserved communities through its work across four pillars:
Through enriching programming and events hosted by the Amigas and Friend Network, Inc. In addition, more than 150 Latina stories have been shared across the national and award-winning Latina Leadership Podcast, which has been downloaded more than 120,000 times across video and audio-listening platforms across the United States
Through our Puente Program we are working in-schools to support the next generation of leaders in our communities. We bring valuable resources, mentorship opportunities, and real-world networking experiences to high-school-aged students at their schools by working with educators and school leadership.
Our vision through the Puente Program is to create a springboard of support for these young adults to count on now and in the future as they prepare to and pursue their education and career goals – whatever path they choose.
We meet with students at least every month during the school year to provide financial literacy, health and wellness, and other resources; to bring community leaders and mentors to connect with them; and we host events with Puente Program participants and local leaders to hone their networking and soft skills
